The interdisciplinary Centre of Competence for Automotive, Mobility and Materials Research (AutoM) brings together expertise from the Departments of Civil Engineering (BAU), Information Technology-Electrical Engineering-Mechatronics (IEM), Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Technlogy (M), Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology (ME) and Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Data Processing (MND).
The often application-based research of its members is at the cutting edge of development and testing of new materials, among others in lightweight engineering, as well as digital product development and production processes. Intelligent and sustainable mobility provides the framework for the work in the centre of competence, including the development of low-emission and low-consumption vehicles.
